We found out the Manchester School of Samba would be performing in Stockport this weekend and as I live 10 minutes away we decided to pop along (Stockie is as lovely as ever!!).
Enjoyed the samba dancing and looking forward to seeing them again in June for the Manchester Day Parade.
Decided to go for a walk in Lyme Park. Having not been for ages it was lovely to the Fallow Deer out in strength and was even better to find a secret bit… but its a secret so shh!
Saturday saw the annual bot race at Salford Quays. The University of Manchester kicked butt (not bias or anything!). There was some good entertainment too as you can see. Fingers crossed for next year when I’ll be more practiced at taking piccies of ppl!
Parry and I decided to visit somewhere new on Sunday and drove 2 hours to South Lakes Animal Park. At first it was quite strange, possibly due to the evil emu that attacked us. However, I really enjoyed the layout although I can’t help but wonder how long it will be before someone sues the park! “…that bear stole my camera and bit me.. as I was leaning over the fence to take a photo of inside its mouth”
Yup, took another trip to Chester Zoo at the weekend. Was good fun as always and I got some more nice pics. Can’t wait to go again maybe the two giant otters will grace us with some acrobatics in their new enclosure!
